Riparian Rangers - OWA
We are looking for volunteers to help maintain local tree plantings in the Octoraro watershed. Jobs include marking dead trees; picking up fallen tubes; removing invasive vines, weed eating/spraying. These events are coordinated with, and through, the Octoraro Watershed Association (OWA).
What to Bring and Wear
We will supply needed tools.
Participants should dress for the weather including:
- strong boots
- tick/insect repellent
- gloves
- water or coffee bottle
- mallet (for tree tubes, optional)
- shovel (for tree planting, optional)
- weed wacker (optional)
Where We Meet
The Kirkwood events are organized by OWA. Meet at 785 Wesley Rd. Kirkwood, PA 17536 on the West branch of the Octoraro. 1PM to 3PM
Disregard no parking sign.
Do not bring vehicles over bridge.
